There’s a great set of producers and editors behind 5 News. They broadcast two twenty-five minute shows, each full of ideas and energy, every weekday. It may be one of the smallest broadcast news teams in the UK, but the programmes they make – with the early transmission deadline of 5pm – often set the bar for the other terrestrial broadcasters to reach for. I’ve been working there 10 days a month since June 2020, job sharing with the hugely talented Ilze. Here’s a selection of some of the work we do.
